Wildcliffe Twenty-First Century

Century was a
stunningly beautiful young Samoyed with a delightful personality and
flawless movement, a homebred boy who was as near perfect as I ever hoped to see
in the breed. He was sired by Am Can Ch. Wildcliffe Chant of the Sea, our top
winning stud. His dam was our Noatak's Dajja of Silver Moon, daughter of Am Can Ch. Noatak of Silver Moon, a constant group placer and winner.
This is the only picture surviving of
Century, who we affectionately called Cen-Cen. My daughter believes she
has a snapshot of him, but so far it has not been found.
Century was killed in a car accident at
eighteen months of age, just as he was mature enough to start a serious show
career. The blow to myself and my young daughter Geni was more than either
of us could come to terms with, and was the start of the end of Samoyeds in our
home. We had no dogs for over thirty years, until the "little Sammys" captured my heart: my Pomeranians. Now at this next stage of
life, here I am back in show dogs again.
